Ali’s story
Ali identifies as an actor, having worked as one in his native country of Iraq. He is interested in video editing and film production and has also worked as a freelancer. His goal is to start his own business in the UK. When he first registered with Refugee Action Kingston, he had been refused a driving license on the grounds of poor eyesight and needed assistance accessing eyecare and glasses.
We also assisted him with registering with a GP. Due to his circumstances, he had been forced to accept a precarious rental agreement which ended in him being forced to leave his accommodation. Since then, we’ve been working to find him more secure housing.
