The benefits of partnering with Refugee Action Kingston
For businesses
Modern employees seek greater meaning in their work - they’re looking to work for companies that are committed to contributing positively to society and consumers are more inclined to support brands committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR). Furthermore, individuals with refugee status bring with them a wealth of skills, knowledge and insights that can be invaluable to businesses aiming to embrace diversity and business growth.
For clients
With your support, we can offer a comprehensive wrap-around services to give people with refugee status or those seeking asylum the best chance when they arrive in our community. Employment or voluntary service offers a sense of purpose and provides an opportunity to contribute to, and participate in, society.
For us
We couldn’t do what we do without the generous contributions from our partners. Their support enables us to provide a range of services to clients, and collaborating with employers and non-profit organisations looking for employees or volunteers means we’re able to connect clients with meaningful work.

Staffing service
Why employ someone with refugee status?
In a rapidly growing global market, people who've migrated to the UK bring a wealth of knowledge that can help to diversify and enhance business practices.
Candidates signed up with the Job hub come from a wide range of employment backgrounds with UK-recognised qualifications. They’re enthusiastic and ready to work.
Businesses gain great satisfaction from the positive and life-changing impact of employing people with refugee status.
Find a volunteer for your organisation
We also work with non-profit organisations to assist individuals currently engaged in the asylum system who are keen to volunteer their time and skills.
Volunteering allows people to explore interests, learn new skills and engage with their community while they await decisions from the Home Office.
Make a financial contribution
If you’d like to make a one-off financial contribution to RAK, you can do so here.
If you’d like to make a regular financial contribution, or nominate RAK as a chosen charity partner, we would love to hear from you.
Donate essential items such as technology devices, stationery or equipment
Mobile phones and laptops help people to stay connected with loved ones abroad and can provide independence to people rebuilding their life.
Company-wide volunteering
We work with many different organisations who volunteer their time with us in lots of meaningful ways.
We can arrange one-off or regular group volunteering sessions – at our donations store, for example, or assisting at the Community hub kitchen to help with the day-to-day running of RAK.
We’re also interested in hearing from organisations who’d like to volunteer their employees’ skills on a regular or one-off basis. This could involve running an internal staff training session or offering consulting services in an area where an organisation has expertise.
If you’re interested in partnering with RAK across any of the initiatives above, or have any questions, email partnerships@refugeeactionkingson.org.uk to find out more.
