Join us in extending a helping hand to people arriving in Kingston by donating high-quality clothing, shoes, and other essential items to those in need.

Our donations store is open to clients who are registered with us and who need clothing and essential items. It can provide a sense of dignity, choice and self-expression to those of limited means who are rebuilding their lives here.

Our newly arrived clients use our donation store for quality items that will make a significant difference to their lives in the UK

We’re currently looking for the following items for our donations store:

  • Casual clothes for adults:

    • Joggers

    • Sweatshirts

    • Winter coats

    • Raincoats

    • Gloves, socks, winter hats

    • Packaged underwear

      • Women’s:

        • Jumpers

        • Leggings

      • Men’s:

        • Medium-sized clothing (all items)

        • Pyjamas

      • Children’s:

        • Unbranded school uniform items

  • Hardly worn or nearly new (and freshly washed) shoes:

    • Men’s leather, waterproof shoes

  • Unused toiletries

    • Shampoo, deodorants, toothpaste/brushes, soap, shower gel etc.

  • Bags:

    • Suitcases, travel bags and daypack-size rucksacks (with zips/wheels working)

  • New school stationery:

    • Writing pads, sketchbooks, pens, colouring pencil sets, maths sets, scientific calculators etc.

Before you make a clothing or items donation, we ask you to consider whether an item is suitable to be passed onto someone else:

  • Is it new or nearly new?

  • If the item isn’t new or nearly new, is it in great condition?

  • Has it been freshly washed?

  • Is it for children under the age of five years?

    • If yes, please consider donating directly to Grow Baby.

New and unused toiletries are absolutely essential for our newly arrived clients
