Welcome! Whether you’re new to the UK, new to Kingston, or a returning client, we’re here to help.

How can I get support?

  • I’m new to the UK.

    • Make a claim for asylum as soon as you realise you’re unable to return to your home country. More information on how to claim asylum is available on the Migrant Help website.

    • Seek legal advice as soon as possible, even if you have a valid visa to be in the UK.

    • Find out what local services and support are available to you using our national directory.

    • This helpful guide for migrants is about how to navigate life in the UK once you arrive.

I’m new to Kingston and I need help with welfare (housing, money, proof of address)

    • If you’re studying, working or living in the Kingston borough, you can access RAKs support services for free.

    • You’ll need to register with RAK first, which you can do by coming to our office.

      • Contact the office for details on how to get here.

      • Please bring with you your:

        • Letter from the Home Office

        • eVisa access or photo of it (or your BRP card if you don’t have an eVisa)

I need legal advice or a solicitor.

We’re not currently offering legal advice at RAK. See here for alternative organisations who may be able to offer legal support.

I need help with something else.

    • o  English classes, from beginner to conversational
