Welcome! Whether you’re new to the UK, Kingston or a returning client we’re here to help. Below is some information to direct you toward the support you may need.

How can I get support?

  • I’m new to the UK.

    • Make a claim for asylum as soon as you realise you are unable to return to your home country. More information on how to claim asylum is available on the Migrant Help website.

    • Seek legal advice as soon as possible, even if you have a valid visa to be in the UK.

    • Find out what local services and support are available to you using our national directory.

    • This helpful guide for migrants is about how to navigate life in the UK once you arrive.

  • I’m new to Kingston and I need help with welfare (housing, money, proof of address).

    • If you are studying, working or living in the Kingston borough you can access RAKs support services for free.

    • You will need to register with RAK first, which you can do by coming to our office.

      • Contact the office for details on how to get here.

      • Please ensure you bring with you your:

        • Letter from the Home Office

        • eVisa access or photo of it (or your BRP card if you do not have an eVisa)

  • I need legal advice or a solicitor.

    ·       We are not currently offering legal advice at RAK. See here for alternative organisations who may be able to offer legal support.

  • I need help with something else.

There are many different things that we can help you with, including:
